The Everyday Socks are worked from the cuff to the toe. The socks are worked in stockinette stitch either in stripes or in one solid color. The heel is shaped with short rows.

US women’s shoe sizes: 5-6 (6½-7½) 8-9 (9½-10½) 11-12
Gauge: 30 sts x 40 rows = 10 x 10 cm [4 x 4 inches] in stockinette stitch on 2.5 mm [US1½] needles
Needles: Double-pointed needles: 2.5 mm [US1½] or a 2.5 mm [US1½] / 60 or 80 cm [24 or 32 inches] circular needle, if you are using the Magic Loop technique
